Design Optimization and Building of a Steer-by-Wire Electric Vehicle
Senior Design Project

A drive-by-joystick EV built to support Saudi Arabia’s carbon-reduction goals and Vision 2030 — replacing the conventional steering wheel with a steer-by-wire system, a step toward autonomous steering. Includes an onboard charging circuit; the vehicle was charged successfully using a solar charging station built by a collaborating Electrical Engineering senior design team.

  • Funded and supported by the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Center of Creativity and Entrepreneurship.
  • Awarded by the university president.

Ecodesign for Train’s Balises — B3C (Bio-Based Balises Casing)
Siemens, Munich Office · CAD Designer

Joined the team at Siemens’ Munich office as CAD designer on B3C, a project to take the balise casing from throw-away to circular by replacing conventional casing material with cardanol-based resin — a bio-based polymer derived from cashew nutshell liquid, which holds up in harsh trackside conditions without interfering with the signaling between the balise and the train.
